The first glimpse into the upcoming album comes in the form of Animal Collective’s New Single “Soul Capturer”. Animal Collective wastes no time in captivating listeners with their signature sound, weaving together intricate melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. The song serves as an anthem for the existential malaise experienced in today’s digital age, touching upon themes of seduction, vulnerability, and the impact of the internet on our emotional well-being.

In a press release by Domino Recording, the album’s label, more details about “Isn’t It Now?” were revealed, providing a deeper insight into the band’s creative process. The quartet comprising Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Deakin, and Geologist collaborated with the Grammy-winning producer Russell Elevado (known for his work with artists like D’Angelo, The Roots, and Kamasi Washington) to co-produce and mix the album.

Animal Collective’s artistic approach has always been innovative, allowing them to explore new ideas and influences fearlessly. This will surely be ingrained in the upcoming album.

One of the standout tracks on the album is the previously released “Defeat,” a 22-minute epic that showcases Animal Collective’s willingness to push boundaries and experiment with extended compositions. Additionally, fans will be glad to find “King’s Walk,” a track that the band has been performing live for several years, including during their 2022 NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.

“Isn’t It Now?” is a testament to the band’s enduring commitment to exploring the vast landscape of musical creativity with the spirit of beginners, even after nearly a quarter-century in the industry.

Fans can pre-order the album now, available in various formats, including limited orchid, tangerine, and standard vinyl, as well as CD and digital. Mark your calendars for September 29th.
