Childish Gambino Atavista Release

Donald Glover, known by his stage name Childish Gambino, has released a new version of his 2020 album ‘3.15.20’. Now rebranded as ‘Atavista’, this revised album debuted with a fresh track titled “Little Foot Big Foot“.

Alongside the music, fans were treated to a black-and-white video for the new song, directed by Glover’s long-term collaborator Hiro Murai and featuring performances by Quinta Brunson, Monyett Crump, Rob Bynes, among others.

Background and Development

Originally launched on Glover’s website, donaldgloverpresents.com, ‘3.15.20’ was briefly available before being taken down, then re-released on streaming services a week later with new song titles and guest appearances from artists like Ariana Grande and 21 Savage. Glover describes ‘Atavista’ as the polished version of these earlier works, noting that many of the tracks are refined iterations of the original songs.

The New Additions

Noteworthy on the album is the inclusion of “Little Foot Big Foot”, a track featuring rapper Young Nudy. This song, which was previously known as “35.21”, has been transformed with a new title and an engaging music video. The project also introduces “Human Sacrifice”, a track marked by its futuristic vibes and classic Gambino soul.

Current and Future Projects

Beyond music, Glover has been active in the film and television sphere. Since the release of ‘3.15.20’, he has concluded his acclaimed series ‘Atlanta’, produced the Prime Video series ‘Swarm’, and is involved in a remake of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ as well as developing a feature film about Lando Calrissian.

Upcoming Releases

Glover has teased that a special vinyl version of ‘Atavista’ will soon be available, featuring visuals for each track. He also announced that a new Childish Gambino album is expected in the summer.

Fans of Glover can expect to see him on tour soon, as Childish Gambino’s upcoming tour dates have been released, promising live renditions of both new and classic tracks from his evolving repertoire.
