Cola, the band formed by ex-Ought members Tim Darcy, Ben Stidworthy, and drummer Evan Cartwright, is gearing up for the release of their second album, “The Gloss” set to drop on June 14th via Fire Talk and Next Door Records in Canada. This follows their well-received debut, “Deep In View,” which garnered attention from major music outlets such as Pitchfork and Rolling Stone.

The upcoming album, introduced with the single “Pallor Tricks,” showcases a shift towards a more nuanced and layered sound, as evident in their latest track “Albatross,” which combines a sense of urgency with thoughtful rhythms.

“Albatross” reflects on themes of impediment and struggle, inspired by a reimagined view of a horse race, symbolizing the obstacles that block achievement. This track and others from the album signify Cola’s evolution in sound, exploring deeper and more complex musical territories.
Cola Band Tour 2024
Alongside promoting “The Gloss,” Cola is embarking on a comprehensive tour, starting next week in Europe, with stops across major cities in the UK, and later in North America, including performances at notable venues in Toronto, Chicago, Nashville, and New York, and concluding in Montreal.
