Released May 2, 2025, via GSR, bleeding swirls is the debut EP from London-based trio green star. The band—made up of Lilah Bobak (Los Angeles), Pedro Soler (Mallorca), and Alberto De Torre (Madrid)—formed through London’s DIY scene and bring a blend of shoegaze, indie rock, and noise-inflected dream pop to their six-track debut.

The EP compiles their previous singles “blades of steel” and “replication”, alongside new tracks “four-o-five”, “falter”, “what’s true”, and “spiders without eyes”. The band’s sound is marked by overlapping vocals, dissonant textures, and real strong melodies. “four-o-five” leads the release with jagged guitars and lyrical references to emotional reset and disorientation.

Musical influences for the band green star

Drawing influence from bands like Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo, green star’s music contrasts harsh, wintry soundscapes with warmer melodic elements—reflecting the band members’ backgrounds in Spain and California, refracted through the gloom of London.
