Kosaya Gora’s Debut Album Kosogor

Kosaya Gora, translating to “oblique mountain” in Russian, is an indie project by the creative electronic producer and singer Kedr Livanskiy and experimental producer Flaty.

This project marks a distinct departure for both artists. Their debut album, titled Kosogor, features guitar-based folk, ethereal synth compositions, all underscored by Livanskiy’s vocals.

While Kedr Livanskiy and Flaty have previously worked together on their individual electronic projects, Kosogor signals a transformative project for both. The album comprises 14 tracks blending folk, dreamy pop and a dark melancholic synth.

The album’s inception occurred during the pandemic during times of isolation. Kedr Livanskiy elaborates on this, noting that the quarantine period prompted them to delve into meditation. The tracks were formed as part of spontaneous jam sessions. The organic and seamless collaboration became so rewarding that they decided to formalize it into a cohesive album.

Kosogo, released on March 17, 2023, offers a great introduction to both these artists and how they collaborate. The full album is available from March 17, 2023.
