Canadian musician and producer Matty, known for his work with BADBADNOTGOOD, has released “Fool 4 U”, the lead single from his forthcoming solo album “POPS”.

“Fool 4 U” is a love-struck, jittery single that showcases Matty’s talent for blending emotive lyrics with complex musical arrangements. The song encapsulates the essence of longing and vulnerability, traits that have defined much of Matty’s solo work since his departure from BADBADNOTGOOD in 2019.

The track is a mix of guitar, high vocal chorus with cheesy speaker verses and a nice drea mpop kind of build.  and intricate rhythms/ Matty seems to find these really great ways to blend pop and indie at a level which seems perfectly balanced. His vocals are always on point.  A great listen for those seeking insights into diverse production skills.
