Improvised ambient folk recorded in Southern Poland
Hiraeth marks the second collaboration between ambient composer Sofie Birch and experimental vocalist Antonina Nowacka.

Recorded in the countryside of Southern Poland using tape, guitar, zither, and voice, the album blends improvised folk with ambient textures.
Post-recording, the duo added synth and organ layers in studio, preserving the intimacy of the original sessions while expanding the sonic palette. The project leans toward pastoral, acoustic sounds, with a clear focus on voice and breath.
